The acting class in episode one of Scream Queens involved our actresses smashing pumpkins in order to get in touch with their inner rage.
Just TV Fluff?
While we fully admit to choosing this acting exercise because we thought it would be great TV, it came from a very real place…an exercise Scream Queens acting coach John Homa did on the set of Interview with the Vampire…with a young Kirsten Dunst.
Remember the scene where the child vampire, played by Kirsten, cuts her hair and it grows right back? She then screams with blood-curdling rage. It was for this scene that John came up with the exercise of physically slamming things in order to help the young actress channel extreme anger.
